Bill O’Reilly, in a USA op-ed, published a day after Roger Aile’s death, claims that it was hatred by liberals and other supposed enemies of Conservatives that killed Roger Ailes, not the fact that Mr. Ailes was a dangerously overweight approaching eighty years of age.
“We are living in a rough age,” the ex-Fox host claimed, “with technological advances changing behavior and perspective. The downside of that is turning us into a nation where hatred is almost celebrated in some quarters,” he continued, “Roger Ailes experienced that hatred and it killed him. That is the truth.”
Mr. Ailes had been the driving force behind Fox News from its launch in 1996 until he was forced to leave the company following accusations that he was a sexual predator. Many blame his time at Fox News for helping debase U.S. political norms into a culture of constant outrage. He died at 77.

Fox News became completely unhinged following the election President Barack Obama. The station trafficked in conspiracy theories like birtherism, Obamacare death panels and fake scandals (Solyndra) to paint the new President as corrupt and foreign.
Mr. Ailes was a paranoiac. He allegedly monitored his enemies from “black room” in the Fox News building. He feared that New York City’s LGBT community would kill him in his office. He was also allegedly a sexual predator of women.
Beginning in summer of 2016, a wave of women stepped forward accusing the CEO of sexual harassing them and abusing them. One of these women, Laurie Luhn was alleged abused by Mr. Ailes for twenty years. She claims Mr. Ailes used her to find other women for him to abuse as well.
No cause of death was announced for Mr. Ailes. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth and son, Zachary.
