The newest co-host of “The Five” may have waded into murky Watters.
Fox News’ Jesse Watters, the same day he denied having made a vulgar on-air quip about Ivanka Trump, announced he’d take a brief vacation — just three days into his new primetime gig.
“I’m going to be taking a vacation with my family, so I’m not going to be here tomorrow and Friday,” he said on Wednesday night’s show. “But I’ll be back on Monday, so try not to miss me too much.”
The anchor, who joined “The Five” in its new 9 p.m. timeslot this week, will also be absent from his Saturday night show, “Watters’ World.”
The Bill O’Reilly protégé had drawn a deluge of criticism after defending the First Daughter against boos and groans she received at a women’s summit in Berlin.
“It’s funny, the left says they really respect women — and then when given an opportunity to respect a woman like that, they boo and hiss,” he said.
“So I don’t really get what’s going on here, but I really like how she was speaking into that microphone.”
Watters smirked and held an invisible mic in front of his mouth — prompting critics on social media to howl his remark had been sexual in nature.
